During his Herald tenure, he boxed Muhammad Ali in the GOAT鈥檚 home gym while the 鈥淭heme From Rocky鈥� blared in the background, received a beer shower from erratic Cubs fans trying to harm Steve Bartman during Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS, and shaved his head several times to raise money for the St. Baldrick鈥檚 Foundation. He has covered the World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Final (note the use of the singular), the Final Four, the Rose Bowl, the U.S. Open and more. He also has served as a writer and editor for Blue Ribbon Yearbook for nearly two decades.
